As the title says. When creating a field group it would be nice to have a option to create it at the same time to the manage display set. After adding 10+ groups to the field ui it you don't need to hassle with creating the same groups to the display ui too.

Creating the same field_group is your use case. I never do that.
I can imagine that it make sense though. I am looking for another issue that's been wanting the same thing, but I can't find it right now.

So, yeah, it could be usefull for some cases. Are you up for a patch ?

This is fixed in dev.

Status:
- An additional settings vertical tab box is appended (if it was not already done by Display suite module or some other module)
- A Fieldgroup settings vertical pane is included with the help text on using fieldgroups. This will be better than taking the prefix of the Fields UI form. (This should not be needed but the past told me I have to show the explanation of subgroups in a fixed parent.
- A clone functionality is added to take a view mode and clone it into the current one. Messages will tell which were cloned and which were not.
