sgabe commentedI think #1066438: Initial support of attachments is a major issue which needs to be fixed before we can roll out a stable release. If anyone would pick this up and fill out the missing holes, that would be appreciated!

sgabe commentedNow we have an alpha release and are waiting for #1382036: Add a common way to configure the theme that will render the email to be committed so we can move forward and roll out a new release. In the mean time I think this issue can be closed and we can continue in separate issues.

rooby commentedThis is still a problem.
We have a module that is being used by over 20000 users that seems very stable and has been in alpha for over a year.
This means we aren't getting the benefits of the security team (see #1719570: 7.x fix for SA-CONTRIB-2012-124 - Mime Mail - Access Bypass) and clients who have a policy of only using security team supported modules can't use it.
You say we are waiting on #1382036: Add a common way to configure the theme that will render the email but it appears that issue has been fixed and is now purely a documentation issue.

skinIs there any hope for a stable release? It would be nice to have the benefits of the security team.
rooby commentedAlso, some distributions stick relatively firmly to releases over dev versions and there are lots of useful fixes since 7.x-1.0-beta4 so while a 1.0 release would be fantastic, any release at all would be helpful.
rooby commentedIf it's not releasable, a list of release blockers would be a good start towards making it ready.
sgabe commentedJust pushed new releases for both branches.
