Is it possible that the Decimal-Field has two values ( a min and a max value ). i would like to make a Minerals-Site where every minral is a node with different CCK-Fields. And some Fields have to be a decimal range like the hardness (Mohs scale of mineral hardness).

You have to use two different fields - one for the min value, one for the max value.
Or maybe one field with multiple values enabled, depending on what you plan to do with those min and max values (but you currently won't be able to limit the number of values to 2)
