I set about this project after having a series of 'friends' fade out over time. I spent a lot of time and effort with them and in the long run the differences were obvious. I thought that if I had just had a tool to compare my philosophies and outlooks on life I would have saved months of time. I have a background in psychiatry and psychology and then it clicked. My theory is that it isn't really compatibilities that bring people together. I have lots of friends that I share nothing in common with. The problem with failed relationships is when a major incompatibility inserts itself. Given this, I came up with an engine that test for just this sort of thing. I incorporated the 'Big Five' personality traits initially but then realized that relationships, be it friend or lover include far more. This lead to over 100 personality traits in over 20 domains including nightlife, sexuality, food, sports, etc.
I then wanted a way to quickly turn this 'code' into portable unit so I created a url and then a QR code. Users can customize a 'psyfore' and distribute it. It can anonymous or public. Different psyfores can be distributed with different content. You might have one for singles you meet and another for potential roommates.
The process of completing most personality tests is tiring requiring the completion of long forms. I got around this by making the entire process rest in jquery and session. Users can complete 2 questions or 20.. The score then uses the number of questions answers to calculate a 'power' or number that indicates the statistical power of the comparison.
I then linked the whole thing to facebook using the Drupal for Facebook module.
I just launched the beta and would love to see a little more volume..

the issue with logginin out is really confusing. Also I want suggest to put images to some of your pages, with them site will be more attractive.
Unable to log out?
To answer the questions in the domain categories, you start by 'Create Your Psyfore' and then you will have links to each domain. With regard to needing more information. Was the fAQ incomplete? Did the spash page leave you with questions? With regard to not being able to log out. Did you have your account connected to facebook? I am assuming you clicked 'log out' and you were immediately logged back in? I have this problem sporadically. Presently, it's workign great for me so it's been tough to track down but working on it. Thanks a ton for the input.

I do not see any new accounts listed. So, I am unsure how you cannot logout, if you have not logged in. I suspect the confusion may lie in the fact that pressing the facebook connect button, mearly connects your account with facebook to the account on the machine. If you have not yet created an account on psyforecast then you are not logged in. I think I really need to clarify this better.. Unfortuneately, if I want to route the user through the legal module, I have to do it this way. Technically then, you are never really logged in. The webpage is mearly displaying a picture taken from your facebook profile based on the permissions you gave. I need to make this more abundantly clear..

The problem was happening with Legal module and facebook connect.. For now, no Legal module and everything should work dandy with regard to logging in, creating accounts etc.. Please take time to take if for a test ride.. My psyfore is above for messing around with .
