enable locale.module, go to admin/locale, add your language, and go to import page. Then upload the .po file(s) and they are imported into translation database table.

Anyone knows if there is an option available to just give the directory where all the .po files are installed and then import them all at once ?

killes@www.drop.org’s picture

No there isn't.

Why would you like to import multiple files? The core translations are packaged as one po file for download.

I was able to import this as well. However it is incomplete... only
853/1220 (69.92%) of the strings are translated.
