Does anyone have a 'clean' operating multisite with lots of working modules that they are willing to sell a copy of? I need it installed on my server and preconfigured. Even though I'll modify the configuration for my purposes, I want to start with some kind of working configuration for most of the modules.

I want to put it on my server and play around with it.

I want the version with shared codebase, and independent theme and database.

I'm not a programmer. Does a multisite require lots of maintenance?

What would something like this cost me?

Do you have multiple domain names?

Which modules?

Hi,

I've got a number of multi-sites running on a number of different servers. Multi-sites are totally way to go if you want to share the code base and yet have independent themes/databases. However, just "selling" you my multi-site isn't going to do anything to help you along in the process. You don't have to be a programmer to set up a multi-site install, but you do need to be able to read the general documentation and translate it for your specific environment.

Multisites take much less time to set up than the same number of single Drupal installs. However, it does take time keep up with the security releases, upgrade the modules and update the database when this is done. Upgrading can be a simple process, or rather time consuming if there turns out to be an error in the upgrade.

Best option is to find an experienced Drupal developer who is willing to spend a few hours in your server setting up the initial install, preparing the modules that you want to use and testing it to see that it all works as expected. They will also likely need to assess whether your web host has given you enough resources to set this up. Once the first install is set up and tested properly, it would be a matter of a few minutes to set up new installs for you to work from.

Hi,

Would be willing to help you set something like this up. I've got a similar project of my own going (but it requires automation).

The initial install takes only an hour or so, then its 5-10 minutes per site setting up the database and symbolic links to everything so that it all works.

Modules are installed on a per-site basis - by that, I mean, you have to enable them as appropriate for each site (but in saying that, I could theoretically copy the settings for each site and use that as a "template" for each subsequent site install).

I'd normally look at €75/hour. I would require FTP access, and recommend also SSH (shell) access to make things easier/quicker. Control Panel or PHPMyAdmin access would be a preferable also (Doesn't matter which Control Panel), otherwise I can set PMA up so that it is easy for you to add databases in the future.

Best method of contact is through any of the methods below.
