Certainly possible, and I guess it makes sense if you end up creating a large number of products (which can happen quickly).

Yet, this is not a priority for me ... unless I hear from more people that they need it.

Of course, I would consider a patch ...

Commerce bpc will use a "core like" release management, meaning that new features will go into the 2.x branch (but might be backported).

Yeah, it hangs (server error 500 - memory exhausted) with a certain number of combinations (taxonomy).

My php.ini config:
memory_limit = 3G
max_exec_time = 500

Does this mean this feature is a part of the 2.x branch or that IF the feature is added it would be included in the 2.x branch?
