We're happy to report that Drupal.org has moved to our new server and host. As you can see the site is back to being snappy and ready to tend to all your Drupal needs. If you notice any errors or odd things, don't hesitate to tell us.

A big thumbs up to Kjartan for getting this all sorted out so soon. And if you haven't donated yet, maybe now is a good time to show some Drupal-luvin' and drop in a couple of cents?

For a few hours, SpreadFirefox.com, Drupal.org, and Natrak.net were all down.... together! Got scared for a bit!

For anyone who has the old server stuck in their (upstream) DNS cache and doesn't want to wait hours/days for the new one to appear, these are the IP addresses, which can be placed in your hosts file:

drupal.org and cvs.drupal.org resolves to 217.67.229.130
lists.drupal.org still resolves to 213.203.33.251 (which is, apparently, the old server)

Very true. I thought the old server was still running as well... I didn't realize it had been completely taken down. That must have happened after I already made the switch. ;)

lists.drupal.org and mail are still on the old server they will be moved over after all the web sites i need to move are up.

Mail is a lot harder to move since more depends on it (user accounts, mailing lists, archives, etc).

I just tried to upload a patch and got the following:

- The directory files/issues is not writable.
- The directory files is not writable.
- File copy failed: no directory configured, or it could not be accessed.

Recommendation...

Whenever you do server moves, 24 hours prior, drop the TTLs of the Zone to 600, that way you don't have the long propagation period like we had in this time ;)

Other than taht, superb speed...finally :D
