skor commentedYou filed this against the Garland RTL theme. Though it looks like you're using the stock Garland theme. And since I'm am getting this on the standard Garland theme, let's file the issue against that. If it also exists in Garland RTL, it likely carried over from the stock Garland anyway.
It's probably a simple CSS fix, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Bevan commentedIE has funny ways of dealing with additionaly whitespace (space characters) in and around links and list items. It looks like it could be related to that issue...
