This release adds the administrative override permission. Those with this permission will be able to give users email addresses that include domains not in the approved list. Such is very useful for test users, contract users or for entering addresses from publicly available services, such as Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo.
With the presence of email addresses using non-standard domains, it is necessary to lock the email field for users without the override permission. In this way they can still make changes to other fields in their user profile.
