Hey,

I am a competent PHP developer but I lack experience with drupal and want to learn about DRUPAL and particularly DRUPAL MODULE/ PLUGIN Development.

I am interested in getting feedback on books/ courses/ screencast/ commercial or free that can help me get advance training in drupal developmentt

I have been looking at these books

Both feature extensive, hands-on video tutorials. Both, cost $$, however they also have a number of free videos available.

Thanks thanks... I'm hoping to get as in-depth as possible. I have had experience with other cms but drupal has shown to be QUITE a challenging learning curve.

There are so many things to learn in starting drupal... as a programmer and in trying to be oriented about the fundamental features/ functions of Drupal...where do I start? This would be in relation to how things work i.e. Views, CCK etc... for the purpose of module development.??
