Add CSS to Imagefield

I spent several hours to figure out the best way how to add the css class to the output of my image fields in a view.

I think I will do it with a views field template now, but I dont think thats the best option. Maybe I have to write a custom field formatter, but don't have the time to do that now.

What do you think is the best way in D7?
