First of all I would like to congratulate you for such a fine module.
Second, I would need some help about the archive block by user and node type. I think I have figured out how it works: it is only displayed in the region I have placed the block when I am in the page defined by the url

sitename//[user_name]/

for instance "sitename/author/ayukko/blog". Am I right?

I would also like to display the block when in other pages. Is that possible?
