Im trying to set things up so that a page on my site is recreated in facebook, or even better still, so I have a choose of what nodes get published to facebook. I walked through the readme and docs and installed no problem. My app for connect is working. I have an app for a canvas page also which I thought i would use for my goal. Now I am completely lost on what the next step is to link drupal nodes to facebook. I must be thick or missing something, but I have no idea what to do next.

You need to create a new page, and paste its URL into the settings for your app in Drupal -- view FB apps, click the edit link for your app, and expand the "Facebook canvas pages" section. Use the local URL, eg content/my_fb_page. You will want to have a specific theme for your Facebook pages, which you will set here as well. Hope that helps!
