wampServer 2.1 is a great development platform for developing Drupal websites seamlessly on the Windows platform. My OS is Windows XP Professional with 2.39 GHz cpu and 512Mb RAM (should be enough). The required modules are all available, but I have yet to find a combination of versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL that work with the required extra bells and whistles enabled. Wampserver always hangs in the "amber" state (never goes to "green") with mod-rewrite included. Perhaps someone out there has found the magic formula and would like to share it? Not having clean url's on my development platform is a big nuisance because my production setup does have clean url's - which means I cannot do a full test of the final, production version before going 'live'.
Many thanks!
