Actually I'm not sure what's happening, since it works for me... Are you using any other social modules that could conflict with that?

Status: Active » Closed (works as designed)

I have not been able to reproduce this at all and it seems like a momentary glitch with the aforementioned services (facebook, etc)

Since we use the publicly-available widgets and just customize parameters there is really nothing more that we can do here...

I am also getting warning messages in IE7 + IE8 about LinkedIn and Google+ buttons. Facebook and Twitter work fine.

could you please supply more information? what does the warning say? is it a javascript error?

thanks! :)

Sure :-)

I just realized that this is a D7 thread, but I am also experiencing it with Easy Social 6.x-1.4. But the problem is shared by both versions, I just tested it in D7.

This is shown in a yellow bar at the top of the page in IE8 (with standard security settings) where all four Easy Social links are enabled: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors".

All icons are shown, except for the +1 Google button, so there's no problem with LinkedIn after all, only Google +1. If I double-click on the eye icon with the red stop sign on at the bottom, I get a window listing two cookies which were blocked:

http://www.linkedin.com/courtserv/count/share?url=...
http://www.linkedin.com/analytics/type?widgetJSTRacking&trk=cws-fwk....

The LinkedIn button is displayed anyway and seems to work.

In D6, if I click on the yellow bar at the top and select "show blocked content" once, this line appears in the report over blocked cookies:
https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js?_13130770...

If I click on "show blocked content" again the +1 Google icon appears, also on subsequent pages.

In D7 I only have to click the yellow bar at the top and select "show blocked content" once to have the +1 button appear.

For both of them, a lot of cookies appear in the "blocked cookies" list from plusone.google.com, apis.google.com, etc. But as I said the +1 button does show up.

However, if I click on it I get a screen saying that the security certificate of this web site (plusone.google.com) has expired... Perhaps Google just need to renew their certificate and all is hunky dory? :-)
