Having logged out from the admin area of my drupal site, when I browse to the home page later I still see 'Logout' as an option as well as 'Administer'. If I click on either of these I get an 'Access Denied' message, so the site correctly thinks I'm logged out, yet the home page still displays the Logout and Administer options?

Is there something I need to check/remove, like a cookie or db flag to get these options to disappear i.e. view the website as an un-logged in visitor would see it?

Yep. Nagging problem for me too. I've collected some hacks that sometimes help, but not 100% of the time. Will post here if smarter solutions aren't submitted.
