I just want to insert a tiny monthly calendar in a custom block.. Nothing else. I'd like it still to be navigable where arrow keys move you from month to month and display all of the dates.

However:

1) I don't want it tied to a form field.

2) I don't want the calendear to do anything when you click a date

Basically I want the calendar to allow people on my site to visualize dates just as i do when i look at a calendar on my wall at home. I don't want the dates tied to anything. It's purely to see a given date.

I've read the readme and scoured handbooks and issues with little guidance.

Can someone give me an idea (snippet)? thanks
