Having spent hours trying to track this one through and getting nowhere, I thought I'd strip my site back to default state and this still occurs. Error occurs in versions 1.6, 1.7 and I assume v2 because it occurs on the live http://commons.acquia.com site.

To reproduce, visit http://commons.acquia.com/content/events and use the 'my groups' drop down in the filters. Select either option and hit apply.

Needs relationship set on group member filter to make view work. See next comment to solve errors and make the calendar block obey the filter context.

The filter identifiers are getting all confused. Username should be uid and group member filter should have the relationship and filter identifier set to uid_1. On the event view.

This sorts it I think.

Here you go.... Although as it's only 3 small changes to the view you might be better off just doing it manually, unless there's some other reason you want this.

Anybody who reviews this might also want to look at following patch to fix another issue with events http://drupal.org/node/1180080#comment-5212550 which has had one reviewer already, but I'm not sure if setting default timezone in php is a good thing (might benefit from a more experienced look).
