I must be missing some kind of php extension, the thumb images come up broken on my production environment. The files/tmp directory have the right permissions. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Getting this error "Unable to generate the derived image located at public://styles/medium/public/media-youtube/SninH46Enr0.jpg."

Make sure allow_url_fopen is enabled in your php.ini.
