Is there a schedule for implimenting tiered hierarchy. The FAQ as is is good, but the extra option would be fantastic

Tiered hierarchy is not supported in 4.7. This is a feature of the drupal 5 version of the module however. If you upgrade to drupal-5 you will get this plus other new features, including different layouts for your FAQ page.
