On a web site with multiple languages the banner slideshow is displayed only on pages with default language. All other pages (in other languages) request the photos from locations that don't exist. The URL has the language identifier prepended to the location e.g. it/sites/www.website.com/images/img_234.jpg which is incorrect - it should still request the photos from the sites/www.website.com/images/img_234.jpg.

The banner slideshow does not work on multilanguage web sites if the block is not marked as translatable and translations do not exist (even though there may be no text within the block HTML)

Work around: In order to make the banner slideshow work in all languages, go into block configure, mark the block as translatable and create translations (choose "translate" and save the translations) for every language you have on the web site.

The work around doesn't work - I was happy too fast
