Hi All, maybe I am in the wrong place so please forgive me. I post this issue here for Drupal 7 development but I think that it is also worth considering my arguments for D6 as also for D8. Because it contains some more aspect I resume here what I mean adding the links to the single issues I have post for each point.

My concerning:

Acting as site admin with a default Drupal site and eventually adding only the captcha module for manage base security and access aspect after quite a lot of time, allowed me to notice that there are some features/functions I would like to enhance or join together.

For better explain what I mean I list here some admin node a general user will often visit to handle very default actions when he/she administer his/her own Drupal site:

  1. admin/reports/status
  2. admin/reports/dblog
  3. admin/user/rules

In #1 would be very useful to have: The indexing status -> issue: http://drupal.org/node/1288442
In #2 would be very useful to have: A hostname or host or ip data field -> http://drupal.org/node/1288450 and
http://drupal.org/node/1288432
In #3 we could much more easily add rules when we do have the info mentioned in #2

Thanks for your report. As a feature request, this should be first worked on in D8, then once validated backported to D7 and maybe D6. Assigning to D8.
