the controls on this player need to be labeled in a way that makes sense to assistive technology users, such as screen readers. for example, the button to play / pause is currently labeled "unlabeled 0" which obviously doesn't tell what the control is supposed to do.

Just wanted to add here that this is an issue which has been reported upstream - https://github.com/johndyer/mediaelement/issues

However, only through a discussion on Twitter. I'm keen on seeing greater use of this module, particularly within Drupal. Lots of good reasons to go for the h.264 standard.
