Greetings
I am new to Drupal community. I have played with your demo for several days off and on and CiviCRM looks like something I can use on JumpStart.org. I am trying to install on mac osx 10.4 with Drupal 5.x and have had no luck.

Your installation instructions are not completely clear to me. I have tried to install 3 times -- and upon install am greeted with white screen --- I have had to resort to a back-up each time. I have been able to create the required DB and tables. Would it be possible for someone to either get the installer module working ( I noted that you have one with instructions stating to stay away unless I know what I am doing) or provide more detailed instructions for those of us unfamiliar with finer points of Drupal / web site set-up.

I am not using LAMP or WAMP or MAMP (it is nice but eats up too much RAM) -- I am using Mac OSx 10.4, Apache 2., MySQL 5, PHP 5 and I do have all the proper installs to get DRUPAL and several other modules to work... exception being JSTools.

In any case help or guidence will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards
JLM

JLM,

This isn't really the right place to get support on installing CiviCRM; CiviNode is a Drupal module that works with CiviCRM.

The best place to go for help on this is on the CiviCRM lists. You can sign up for the list here.

It can be a bit daunting for a "newby" to install CiviCRM, but it's possible. Take your time, and following the instructions carefully.

Thanks Rob. I went to CiviCRM and find that several others are in the same boat with Drupal 5.x and unable to install. I'll try back when the installer works. Really do not have time to debug at present. I appreciate your response.
Hopefully sooner than later.

Best Regards
JLM
