The use case here is that if you disable the "Commons Poll" module (or any other feature that is associated with a content type) and then re-enable it, the corresponding menu item in the "Community" tab does not get re-added.

I think this is a problem with features. I've noticed this as well. I usually have to revert the feature.

I've seen this precise problems as well. How do you "revert" a feature? (since I would like it to work again without a reinstall!) - Rick
