This may sound like a stupid question, but I have not seen this covered. I was having a conversation w/ someone, and they pronounce Drupal very differently then I do. I emphasize the Dru, he emphasizes the pal, which way is it?
Drupal or Drupal?

[dru]pal
In Dutch/Flemish the original word 'druppel' has stress on the 'drup' syllable; so, I guess, drupal is the proper pronunciation. Anyhow, that's how I say it.
see the Drupal handbook
Where does the name 'Drupal' come from?

The real way to say it...
Is with a short dutch 'u' (French 'rue', German 'Frühstück') and stress on the first syllable. But of course, there's no easy way to transliterate that into English, so we won't kill you if you say droo-pahl instead.
