Hi,
My site is not live yet but I plan to purchase a separate server to move mysql on to - just trying to prevent headaches in the future and be ready for anything.
Anyway..I was wondering if anything had to be done besides changing the configuration in sites/default/settings.php?
Do I have to change anything else within drupal or the system itself?
I plan to leave a mysql server running on the apache server as well, but just because postfix uses it for email authentication. Thats ok right?
Thanks

Moving servers
I just moved servers and within the same ISP and the new site just comes up as a blank page. We have changed the settings.php for the mysql database but no go. What else needs changing?
Thanks
Did anyone solve this issue?
I'm wondering if moving the mysql database onto an external server requires only a settings.php db_url change. Is there anything more to do? I have not found any good documentation/instructions on moving a mysql database to an external server. So far, I'm having problems connecting to the external database:
The error message I get:
