I found a translation bug with contact form
Hi there,
I think I found a bug with the contact form, I just tested it on a new installation of drupal to be sure and it works (the bug lol).
Si I explain :
After the installation of drupal, I activate locale module and import french translation (because I'm french). In addition I activate the contact module.
My aim is to have a contact module in french and in english, depend of the language selection in the member profile.
So, by default the translation of additionnal information works
In english : You can let us a message using the contact form below
In french : Vous pouvez nous laisser un message en utilisant le formulaire ci-dessous
If I change the additionnal information field in "site building > contact form > settings" by putting "this is a test" for example, the translation of this field don't work anymore.
Drupal will show "this is a test" in both language.
The strange thing is, if I return to locale module, I search the original sentence : "You can let us a message using the contact form below", it is here ! with his translation : "Vous pouvez nous laisser un message en utilisant le formulaire ci-dessous". But this translation dont apply anymore....
It's a strange behave and I dont find how to fix it.
In addition, drupal seems to not allow the translation of contact category, how can I fix this ?
thanks
zmove

I have the same issue without changing the original sentence
I've reported it as a bug and made an attempt at a patch.

Why can't Spanish users see my contact form (not a bug)
My contact form exists in English and Spanish but only displays in the menu when the user language is English. I switched everything to Spanish and added another version of the form (changing the category), enabled menu translation module and switched it from Neutral to Spanish but still no luck. What was I doing wrong?
Answer:
I didn't check that all Users have Permission to view the form. It only displayed in English because English is only used by Admin.
Ho hum, getting too old, I guess . . . .
