I really love this module. I'd be happy to help get it ported to D7 and get a release out!

I'll add my offer to that.
I got bored of moving 2GB of files around so I threw together a quick & dirty port.
It works on my current project - completely untested anywhere else though so use at your own risk etc etc :)

Both of you have commit now. Knock yourselves out. I'm interested in this module anew (have some free time etc) so I may beat you to a D7 version; also I lurk in #drupal.
