in contrast to /node, /blog, /forum, etc, the book overview page at "/book" is not themeable and generates a simple list of linked book titles. no way to get an excerpt from the book or something similar on there. attached 3-line-patch adds themeability for that page for greatest flexibility.

it also fixes the breadcrumb trail for books which missed that very /book page (maybe it was left out because this page looked so ... basic? :))
