Is there an equivalent in Drupal 7?

I think someone talked about a module that goes in a similar direction..
but not as cool as this one, afaik :)

If you want, you can help out with a D7 version:
- test the D6 version
- do a code review. i have my own problems to grasp some of my own code, especially on the js level. that's not a good sign.

This will probably lead to some changes to make the API and the js more humane.
And then it can be ported to D7.

What is the use case, btw?

As per comment #2 at #1676718: Comparison with "Content Menu" module: Features and Usability, I tried this. Works really nice. Would love to port it to 7 but it looks too complicated. :(
