You'll need to provide details on how to reproduce this, as it obviously doesn't happen by default.

I created a views with a block display for listing articles content.
Then I added a view box from block admin ui and returned an error
Fatal error: Call to a member function options_form() on a non-object in C:\wamp\www\botafoc\sites\all\modules\contrib\boxes\boxes.module on line 404

Make sure you have the latest version of boxes and views boxes installed, and let me know if it still happens.
