I'm certain this is simple but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Is there something I have to do besides
a) installing the textimage and capcha modules - DONE
b) ensuring there is a background image and ttf that both modules can recognize - DONE
c) search Drupal for any help on how to get the module to work - DONE
I'm not finding the instructions on how to get these modules to be deployed on a page. Any ideas or pointers to an existing post would be much much appreciated!

Access Control
Did you go into Access Control and enable textimage for the users that you want to see the captchas?
Access Control
In the CAPCHA module setup, I have selected the Admin User to have the CAPCHA Points on the option to "Create a node" but when I go to create a page or edit a page/post/node, there is no facility to include a CAPCHA/Textimage function for the page.
In the Access Control module, I've given all users access to the Textimages.
In testing further, I selected the CAPCHA to be on the login form for anonymous users. This did bring in the CAPCHA math question but not the Textimage.
Does this help? Thanks for your time in helping solve this little puzzle!
Note
Note that you don't actually need to specify fonts or a background image... although I recommend that you at least give it some fonts because otherwise it may choose a font that's too big and the text may be cut off of the image somewhat.
It's working now
Not sure exactly what changed but I've go the captcha and textimage feature working. I still don't have the background image thingy working so am not using an image at this point.
However, if only using captcha, I did get the math question but it never validated the response correctly. My math may be bad but I know I can add 8 + 4 and get 12 pretty consistently. However, captcha always responded to my answers with a message telling me the answer was incorrect. Don't know what's going on there but figured I'd post that here just in case someone has some idea what could be happening with the math question.
Ultimately, I'm happy now...with captcha and teximage, my webform is working fine!
I haven't heard of that
I haven't heard of that problem, but I think the textimage one is better anyway because some of the bots out there are learning to add.
Image Captcha EASY bypass
Type username
Type password
Hit enter
You get the error message that say about missing captcha.
Type ANY leters in the captcha filed. Or better, just hit reload.
You're in, no capcha validation made :-))))))
What a joke !
