I installed the Scripture Filter module for a ministry site that is heavy with Scripture references. However, when it started tagging some things wrong, i disabled it. However, the tags continued to be generated... even after I completely deleted the module. I know the links are not being permanently embedded in the html, so I don't know where it's coming from or how to make it stop. Please help.

Disable caching (admin/settings). The links will also go away after you've disabled the module when you edit and change a node.

Hope this helps,

Steve - I just now saw your message. Caching is not turned on. Now what?

just disabling caching won't work...you also have to go in an edit each node that has a linked reference.

When you edit the node don't change anything. Just resubmit it and since the filter isn't installed it should convert back to a regular link.

Editting & resubmitting each node on a large site is not practical. Try uninstalling the module and then emptying the cache_filter table. This table is not cleared when you disable cache in admin settings.
