This module is really amazing and has enormous potential for inline image embedding and much more. However, it simply is not usable for "normal" users without deep knowledge about internals of the site (like machine-readable field names), and even for site builders it is far from intuitive to figure out stuff like valid names for ImageCache formatters as we can not simply target preset names.
For users of WYSIWYG or BUEditor there might be help available - I don't know about that since I don't use either one of them; I'm using plain text fields without editor buttons and a MediaWiki input format. Thus I'm requesting a feature to add at least some minimal support for plain text fields, e.g. a text link that opens some kind of overlay or modal window with some help to gather node ids, and object/formatter names.
If someone is able to write the code, I'm willing to help with the UI and testing.
