I have 2 blocks with different content for 2 languages. Block 1 assigned to lang X, block 2 to lang Y. Switching languages in Language selection block anyway displays BOTH blocks (for Langs X and Y)

Nodes and interface switching fine.

Is Localization for blocks supported ?

Drupal 5.1, Localizer 5.x-1.7

no, I just read about that... but have no idea what to do with this 615 bytes file.
