Hi,
I want to add some nodes (forum thread, stories, etc.) as my favorite item I do not want to use my browsers bookmarking system. May be something like this http://drupal.org/node/47986. This is really helpful to follow interesting forum discussions.

BrittaL commentedsubscribing ... :-) (that's why)

michelle@Britta: If you're tryng to be annoying, you succeeded. If you're trying to accomplish anything useful by subscribing to an issue that was marked duplicate 2 years ago, you failed.

droplet commented#371689: About subscribing -> #34496: [meta] Add Flag module to allow users to subscribe/unsubscribe without posting a comment
the issue starts 5 years ago. no luck to implement this recently.

BrittaL commentedThank you droplet for posting something useful. It will lead others (and me) directly to the right thread. thank you for that. I didn't saw the duplicate label at night. sorry.
OFFTOPIC
@Michelle: Do you feel better now ??? - I can copy your first sentence and can send it back to you the same way. But I won't. I say sorry for my failure. How many languages do you talk? I talk 3. And I am not an english native. And on any other forums I use, normally you can not post anymore when it is closed. Standart function. Ups. Most moderators also set links to the rigth post, in such a case like this here. Ups again. Don't worry, I can fit in and don't waste time to blame. So ... you waste so many time to offend me personally but give no further helpful informations, and somebody else did the only constructive thing: posting the link.
best regards ...

michelleResponding to a 3.5 year old topic about the inability to subscribe to posts that was was marked as a duplicate over two years ago only to add "subscribe" looks like a deliberate troll and I responded in kind. If your lack of English skills makes it so you can't read a date or know what "duplicate" means, then I apologize. I also apologize that I didn't make use of the site's search capability for you so that you wouldn't have to be bothered with typing the search terms in yourself.

BrittaL commentedMichelle,
There is no need to apologize in an undertone of subtle irony, after explaination and sorries for that. There is only a need to calm down a little bit, because you act much overheated in such a small and trivial case. There is no need to offend somebody personally who did a small mistake. And guess how I came to this topic? Because of searching for it. All I've tried to say (also before) is, that it isn't nothing personal, so there is no reason to become personal offending. So as you make out you know much about message boards, and than you also know, that it happens a thousand times in the web, that somebody has overseen, that the topic, he has answered to, is old. I can find many of this "ups, didn't realize that it is from 2002" ... messages around. And all I've tried to tell you is, that if somebody isn't speaking the language natively, the chance is even bigger to oversee it by chance and in the middle of the night. Especially if the label mark is smaller then the main content text and is not emphasized like this kind of labels usually are (f.e. red).
So leave it as it is. It is my fault. ok? I only would like to ask you to stop offending me again and again with your ironic messages. I don't have requested a link, or that you have to search anything for me, I only found the message from @droplet much more useful (also for others) than yours. Thats a fact. And this platform isn't the right place to pull out personal frustration to others.
Thanks for understanding and as I sad in my post before: Sorry for overseeing it, again.

michelleHmm... Instead of simply saying "Whoops, sorry, missed that" to which I would have apologized in turn for thinking you were trolling, you write out this long thing about how it's my fault for not searching for the links to put in the issue and the site's fault for allowing people to respond to closed issues and I'm not sure what questioning the number of languages I speak is supposed to mean but it came off quite holier than thou. And I'm offending you? Um, yeah... Whatever.

BrittaL commentedMaybe it is all a missunderstanding. I don't know. Just to remember your first post: "If you're tryng to be annoying, you succeeded. If you're trying to accomplish anything useful by subscribing to an issue that was marked duplicate 2 years ago, you failed." Maybe kids would answer only "whoops" after that kind of rebuke, but I am not a kid. But maybe I missundestand. If you don't feel your intonation, ok, maybe I only feel that. Maybe it's me and my sick insight of mutual respect and you have only tried to be friendly while informing about a closed topic. Dunno. And maybe you are right and I really sad that it is all your fault and all the sites fault. Can you please show me where I sad that? I've only tried to explain how it came to my mistake. And I repeat it again, I've never requested anything from you. In no second. Anything. Can you please show me this part too? I only felt the other message as more useful and more friendly. And because I am not a kid but a 45 year old adult, I am able to feel sorry about my first post and can come to this conclusion by myself, there is no pedagogue in need. And I sad sorry in my frist answer. But I sad it to the person who treated me different. Are you sure that this isn't a language problem? Michelle?
And by the way: I have friendly asked you to stop the irony in your messages, but I will not copy your last message in here again to reveal.
nothing more to say ...

michelleYes, my first post was snarky because it looked like you were deliberately trolling. You responded to a 3.5 year old closed/dupe post about the issues with not being able to subscribe with "subscribe". It looked like a deliberate attempt to annoy me by bumping up the thread.
If you had simply responded by saying sorry for missing both the date and that it was marked dupe I would have apologized for sniping at you and it would have been done with. But you went on to blame me for it because I didn't take the time 2 years ago when I closed it to go search and list all the bazillion issues where this is being discussed, blamed the site for allowing you to post on a closed issue, and then went on to question my language skills. So, yes, I got pissy about it. Then you come back and say I'm offending you by responding to the attack.
Maybe it is a language issue or a cultural one. Maybe where you live it's ok to blame other people for your mistakes and they just need to accept it. Who knows. Anyway, I've invested enough time defending myself here. I'm done with this.

BrittaL commentedWell, I think THERE IS a missunderstanding. Sorry but I need to clearify. I didn't wanted to blame you here for anything, I am only not able to look down and say sorry after such a rebuke like your first post, which was a missunderstanding as we know now. I ONLY tried to explain my situation. And THERE definitely is a missunderstanding about my sayings of "languages" and "links". What I meant was, that I have to concentrate more on a foreign language to keep up all informations occuring on a page, and to understand them the right way, especially when the informations are not as obvious than on other places. That was no blaming, no request, no try to put the fault on others. Only explanation. And when I ask you how many languages you talk, I only tried to put you at my spot, to explain how it feels when you have to talk 3 different languages and have to get it all the right way in. Don't forget that it was after your first post. And I only ment that other closed topics have links on the end. Not now, after 3.5 years and after my wrong post, but before, when it was marked as closed. Also here on drupal. Mostly like: duplicate/closed -> link to the dupe post. I don't know what the problem is with mentioning it, NOT REQUESTING it. That is something different. I've ONLY mentioned this. I am not requesting anything and I am a very thankful and submissive person normally, but there is always a time when it comes all together. And maybe it is the same with your sitation.
And to get pissy is one thing, thats ok if something offends you, but to pretend not to be offending and than saying something like "maybe it is ok in your culture to do ... bla bla" is more than offending. I better don't provocate more here by saying what it would be called in my culture to say something like this. And in my life I have a simple rule, respect each other. Not that I always get it done, but I try.
That's why I sad a thousand times sorry in my posts, and it was ment honestly. Just to prevent a missunderstanding again: was there any sorry of you which were not meant to be ironic?
Again: sorry for my first post and overseeing the label "closed". Sorry for thinking that you would not treat me with normal respect. Sorry for my bad english (especially the things between lines) and sorry for discussing it here.

michelleLet's just forget about it, ok? This whole thing is ridiculous and I'm really in entirely too much pain to be dealing with it.
