Hi,

I can't seem to find a module that will let users edit just part of a menu, or merge menus. For Drupal 7 that is. Advanced menu allows access to a whole menu to be restricted but not part of the menu. That would be ok if I could find a module to merge menus. I'm using danland theme and I've tried just adding multiple block to the superfish menu but that doesn't merge the menus. Hence subtree menu permissions would be a useful feature for AM. Or is there another solution?

I have given this a lot of thought previously and I doubt that I will ever implement sub tree permissions. I have also given some thought to merged menu support as well, however, I have not found a good way to accomplish this.

Most of this deals with UI issues and a couple minor technical issues so once I've got those resolved it is likely that you'll see merged menu support.

Done. Merged Menus, aka Sub Menus, are now supported in 7.x-1.2. Please note that this may not be compatible with other menu modules. Other modules will likely need a patch to load merged menus and I may need to develop an API that permits this.
