Entity Reference is so slick that it is almost difficult to believe. It just works the way you expect, and even provides things you didn't really think about yourself (such as the reverse relationship in Views).

Awesome work. This module rocks.

I just started using field_collection and it makes much better sense to have a general module to handle all entity references.

Yup - that reverse relationship in Views is a real killer feature. Puts a whole new spin on the old CNR.
