Blank or default text for status updates showing as template code in stream

If I don't click on the textarea, or I do but don't add any text, and click on the 'Share' submission input, I would imagine that either the update is denied or appears as nothing.
However, each time I do this an update does appear, and it looks like part of a template:
[status:status-themed]

I can't find where to fix. I use table prefixes, which also caused a problem with activity_log (now fixed), and this error might be occurring for the same reason maybe..
