Have tried to contact the owner (http://drupal.org/user/503812) via his contact email, but didn't get any answer. The last commit in February, 2011 I'm afraid something has him not coming back to this project.

As per http://drupal.org/node/251466, leave this issue here for 2 weeks, and then move it back. I understand you used his contact form, but there should be an issue in the queue for someone to find.

There is a sandbox project, http://drupal.org/sandbox/asrob/1319536
This would be an alpha version, because there is no Drupal 7 port from MediaWiki API, http://drupal.org/project/mediawiki_api. Kalman and I would like to maintain that one.
