Posted earlier on civicrm not importing users - but I think my problem originates in drupal. I can upload my csv file and it checks it fine. When I click continue import I get a server 500 error. My host does not allow detailed checking of the error logs. What gives?!

A 500 error can be the
A 500 error can be the result of many things. The two most common on host is a wrong file permission or a too long execution time.
There may be another way to get into your error logs. Log in to the my admin, and goto files. Listed should be www, tmp, ect. to go tmp and there are your logs.
1and1 issues
Unfortunately my host 1and1 restricts free access to logs - but I'll see what I can pry from their hands. I have had time-out issues in other scenarios.

Which 1and1?
Which 1and1 set up do you have? I have several packages on 1and1.co.uk and I can access the logs for all of them via ftp, or through the control panel.

Yep - I am. Do you recomment building my own mysql query to just create my users?
