Hey all,

Sondigo, a PC Audio/sound card company, recently made the jumpup to Drupal 5.1 at www.sondigo.com. Previously we had been running Drupal 4.6 since the company's inception last year.

Module-wise, we're using Legal for user sign-ups, as well as TinyMCE so that non-web developers at the company can add content to the site easily. Other than that, we are quite well served by the capabilities in core.

I have to give a big thanks to Roshan and his team at BPO Canada. There were some issues with our Drupal 4.6 database that made moving up to 4.7 problematic. They sorted those out for us and brought us up to speed with the upgrade to 5.1.

Like the layout.

Some questions:

1) what modules did you use for the store?

2) is the store a separate domain or setup - it looks like the interface changes when you enter the store subdirectory?

3) what module or other code did you use to setup the live support chat?

It is osCommerce not a Drupal module

Hi,
As Ludwig said, the store is a separate installation of osCommerce. I really like the idea of using the eCommerce module instead and keeping only one set of user data, but unfortunately eCommerce wasn't ready when we were setting this up. I'm not crazy about osCommerce, but we've got a lot of data in there already so it would be a pain to switch over now.

The Live Chat system is PHPLive. I'm not too familiar with it (except as an operator), this is also something that BPO Canada set up for us.

phplive is not opensource but a commercial product.

after using it:

1) would you recommend it (is it worth the money)?

2) do you find that customers actually use it or do they just wind up calling / emailing instead?

I find that people do use it, we get at least a couple chat inquiries every day. As for it being worth the money, I'd say it's probably worth it for the Lite license, but note that there is an annually recurring fee. I guess it really depends on the impact you think it will have with your business/organization.

After searching I can't seem to find a module that would support one on one live chat. Had someone built one yet?
