Unable to set permissions for om_project

Issue Summary

I do not see om_project content in the list of available permissions for node module, hence I am unable to allow authorized users to create Projects. Is there another way that is supposed to be set? I am also using content_permissions module, but I don't think any of those are overriding the ability to utilize a whole content type? Not sure if a hook_perm is incomplete or what?

Also in the db, the module field is listed as "om_project", but the module for om_show and other content types is "node", although I think I created most of them manually as they didn't get created well in the initial install of their corresponding modules. Locked is also set to 1.
