My VPS Host system is :
CentOS 5.7 64 bit
1 GB of ram

and i ran into the problem such Fatal error : Out of memory or My MSQL server has gone away
when i look to system i use around 800 MB of 1 GB and after i disable update module it use 650-700 MB (that mean update module ate 100 MB +)
and the memory problem has gone. it seem some people has this situations and solved it by disable update module http://drupal.org/node/163987
