Update Listhandler module from 4.7 to 5.1 quote

I would like to use this module for a project I am working on in Drupal 5.1, and am trying to decide whether I should do it myself or if rates & time for this would be reasonable. The code will obviously be released back to the listhandler module as a 5.1 version.

I too, would like to see this ported to 5.1... I need to use this on our website in combination of mailman and mailhandler..

I would do it, but I don't know how to port it... anybody got links?
