Had this site working fine until i decided to edit the first post (use tiny which has been working fine) and I don't know what I did but now anonoumous users will always see the 'welcome' page as if there was no first user. If I sign in or sign in as another user then the problem goes away. Bizarre. I tried searching for an instance but found nothing. Any help or guideance woujld be appreciated.

try allowing anonymous user to access content. go to administer>>access control

Do you have any permissions on the node, to prevent anon users from seeing the content?

Usually the page appears if you have no content published to the front page, but as your seeing something when logged in thats odd.

I just clicked on your link which redirected to http://www.artleagueli.net/. And I could see the site fine although I was an anonymous user. Seems like a browser cache or other local issue.

Wow, thanks for all this help.

The problem occurs when you go to the home page and scroll down to the bottom. I actually only have enough content for 1 page, but if you click on page number '2' or 'last' it takes you too the 'welcome to your drupal site' page, (url is http://artleagueli.net/node?page=1) You actually only see these links if you are visiting as a guest, if you log in you don't see the links to the other page.

I've tried clearing my cache and I've tried it from different computers too. So I don't think it's machine related.

Can see it now. I have a feeling it might be related to theming because part of the page has other content. Not able to help beyond that, sorry.

Thanks again for all this help. I ran the data base queries to clear the node access tables and then ran the quiery to set open access to all. Ran these from the dba module. Still had the problem. Installed the dev module and looked up the node access table and saw that it said I had legacy nodes that weren't part of the table. Followed instruction to update these nodes manually and after updating only one of them the problem was solved. Wierd thing was that I posted most of my content after og was installed and that is the only node access module I'm using. Problem came about only after modifying the top post through tiny. Go figure. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Oh, OG! Should have guessed that. But the combination with TinyMCE is new. May be you should consider filing a bug report against OG or TinyMCE.

I just updated from D5.1 to D5.7 and get the 'welcome' text on the front page, no matter whether anonymous or logged in user. Even though many pages were already published prior to the update. Not using OG. Any help greatly appreciated.
