When customizing an installation of a 6.x distribution, it is nice to be able to use the profiler library, since it drastically simplifies the custom code required in a .profile file. An added bonus is that it simplifies the upgrade path to 7.x, since many of the features supported by profiler made it into core for 7.

Cleaning up the queue. No longer applicable in 7.x-3.x and we're commons 6.x-1.x is no longer supported.

FWIW, profiler is still applicable to 7.x, if there is still custom logic being used in the install profile.
