I am such a pervert that I have a field collection inside another field collection. I would like both of them to use the field collection table display. They do that fine on node view. But on the node edit form the inside fc is not formatted as a table.

If I change the outer fc to 'VIew field collection items' display, the problem persists.

I have exactly the same problem. In the node edit form, the first level field collection is displayed as a table, but the second (or more) level field collection is displayed the same way (not as a table) whatever the selected widget.
